Warbirds in America
1,428 aircraft of 14 military types hold active US registrations. 1,106 of them are World War II types. Almost all are in private hands.
Privately owned warbirds in the United States are listed in the FAA register. This section counts them type by type, joins the count to NTSB accident records, and shows who owns them and where they are registered. Each count is a number of registrations, not a number of airworthy aircraft, and each page says what the data cannot show.
